Podcast Mania

I’m just starting to play around with iTunes 4.9, and I’m going Podcast-mad. I’ve subscribed to lots of tech-related ones, as well as some general interest ones. I’m kinda wondering if I should subscribe to the news ones by CNN and ABCNews, simply because I like reading my news rather than listening/watching it. But maybe I will just to try it out.

The sheer variety of the podcasts astound me — I mean, there’s everything from a couple of guys geeking about movies to friggin’ Paris Hilton. There’s even a wide range of podcasts within a single genre — eg. the tech categories have everything from beginning level podcasts to hardcore geekery ones. It’s fantastic to have this much choice. This is the long tail at its finest (hey, I had to link back to the old boss some time, right?).

Anyway, thought I’d share with you my current Podcast subscription list. No doubt it’ll grow as I discover more choice material.

  • Cinecast
  • Digital Photography Tips from The Top Floor
  • Engadget Podcasts
  • FirstAdopter.com
  • Gear Live
  • Gillmore Gang
  • Inside Mac Radio
  • iTunes New Music Tuesday

  • Science Friday
  • Al Franken Show
  • Chris Pirillo Show
  • Eric Rice Show
  • The World: Technology from BBC/WGBH/PRI

How I’ll ever have time to listen to all of these I’ll never know.

Hi Nicole

I myself am also totally Podcasted. Don´t know where to start or to end. Why only 24 hours a day? Well, gotta tell you, that I just love your many blogs and postings on the net. Really interesting stuff to read and follow. I want to make my own weblog, but where and how do you start, being a beginner?
