I bought a pair of shoes for the wedding earlier today. Look at it. Is it not pretty and sparkly? Is it not sweet and girly? It is bee-yoo-ti-ful.
Here’s hoping it’ll get here by next week so I can go get my dress hemmed. Joy!
PS. I’m still hemming and hawwing on whether to go get my hair professionally done for the wedding. I’m not too worried about makeup (I’ll just lay on some foundation and add some lipstick. And maybe let my mom add more makeup, I don’t know). But the hair! I’d like it tied back or tied up. But I don’t know the “correct” way. I’ll have to look around the area for places that do hair up-dos.
Our wedding plans are now still rather loose and in the air, but I think we have a basic theme already in mind — casual, quirky, fun, and definitely very personal touches in the decor, invitations, and so forth. As you know, we don’t have a lot of money, so we have to be creative in terms of decorations, food, and so forth.
One of the things that we really want to incorporate is our love for comics, cartoons, and the geekier side of our relationship. He’ll design the invitations with a comic version of ourselves, and we might be handing out mini-comics to our guests. The decor might be a collage of our photos, drawings, etc. The wedding music will be a combined playlist of our favorite artists, that we’re thinking of broadcasting from my iPod. He’ll most likely put Weezer stuff on there, and I’ll definitely have They Might Be Giants on heavy rotation (Another First Kiss being a romantic favorite). The older relatives probably won’t get it, but we frankly don’t care.

Our wedding date will be on February 12, 2005.
Let the world rejoice.
This entry is just to put my thoughts out there on what my current wedding plans are.
