So far the best part about taking a week off has been the realigning of my internal clock. Throughout last week, I was struggling with wonky sleep hours — I would go to bed at noon and wake up at around 8 pm, for example. By the time Monday rolled around, I had forced myself into a proper sleep schedule. For the past three days, I’ve been waking up consistently around 7:30 a.m., without the help of an alarm clock, which is a pretty big deal for me. I actually had time to go through a proper morning routine like applying moisturizer on my face. The only “bad side” to it is that I need to get to bed around midnight, which means I have even less incentive to go out at night. It’s not at all terrible really — I like waking up and not rushing out the door like I usually do.
We’ll see if I keep this routine up.
Can’t seem to correct my internal clock either these days.
Since leaving the office life and working from home, I seem to spend an average of 3 nights a week up until the wee hours of the next morning. 7 or 8AM. Sux, because most of my friends and my girl are on steadier hours.
I’ve been going with less sleep, but that seems like a bad idea in the long run.
