Impatience

I’m finding that I’m incredibly impatient when it comes to:

1) ignorance
2) stupidity
3) illiteracy

It drives me crazy when people don’t know things. It’s really incredibly unfair and kind of mean and arrogant that I feel this way. But when I come across someone who’s *knowingly* ignorant, it drives me batty. Even when playing World of Warcraft, if I end up with someone who doesn’t know how to play, it really grates me (which is, btw, why I try not to play with RL friends in the same room, I’m afraid I’ll snap at them emotionally).

What’s even weirder is that I get really frustrated by people who profess to be computer illiterate. It’s like, they’re saying it with some kind of false pride. “Oh, I’m so busy, I don’t have TIME for these silly computer things.” It’s like they’ve convinced themselves that they’re illiterate, therefore they refuse to learn. Gahhh.

This is why I can’t be a teacher.
