Nothing ventured, nothing gained

Or at least that’s my theory this month. Yes, I’ve signed up for National Novel Writing Month again, and this time I’m going to write something I’m not too afraid to show the world. That is, I’ll be writing about the world of the fantastic, where apparitions and the imagination take root in the realm of the everyday. Wherein I don’t have to worry about pesky things like “facts.” Yeah, it’s not an original idea, but that’s not what NaNoWriMo is about anyway.

Also, I’m going to try this National Blog Posting Month thing as well. I figure even if I can’t get NaNoWriMo done, I’ll be able to get NaBloPoMo done. It can’t be that hard… right?

Anyway, I have about a week’s worth of vacation left in the year, and I figure I’ll dump em all in November so I can really get this stuff done. We’ll see!

Yeah, I’m trying NaNoWriMo for the first time this year myself. I think the key is to just write a little bit each day no matter how bad you think it is. A good outline helps as well so you can jump around if a particular scene is not working.
