My worlds collide

Yesterday was the Snakes on a Plane premier, and of course most of my friends went to watch it. Some went to the Metreon while others went to the AMC 1000 on Van Ness (I went to the Metreon showing). Anyway, quite a few of my friends went to the showing at AMC 1000, where incidentally, CNET’s Buzz Out Loud podcast was having a special feature interviewing people before and after the movie. Well guess who they interviewed! I saw Ryan King give a totally awesome Sam Jackson impression, Teddy Grubb and Cam Walters in the background, Andy Smith promoting Jackson as a potential Oscar winner, and a few other folks I recognize milling about. Of course, I’m already very familiar with the CNET crew (Hi Veronica!), so this was like a clashing of my worlds.

  1. I feel kind of bad! I totally jumped into a conversation your friends were having by the snack stand! He was talking about his shirt, and explaining that his shirt wasn’t a series of tubes. I said “Oh, and it’s not a truck either.” I couldn’t help it! The movie was awsful (awesome/awful), I hope you had as much fun as we did!

  2. Bobby! Sorry, Bobby, didn’t mean to relegate you to “little brother” status. I had a hole in my mind for a second.
