I’ve just merged my Flickr and Yahoo! accounts together. Into one single entity. It felt weird. Like I’ve entered into a commitment, of Internet-size proportions. Oh, marriage of Flickr and Yahoo!, thy hath made me choose between having a lone Flickr in the wild, picking at suitors, playing the field, and a lengthy marriage with that strong and silent Yahoo!, which I don’t quite understand, but like nonetheless.

It was a ponderous moment, as I sat there, mouse button in hand. Do I merge? Do I leave Flickr alone? Oh the decision! Oh the confusion! I weighed the pros, the cons, the in-betweens. And then I clicked Merge, without a care in the world, like I was in the Las Vegas of Internet unions. The rush! Ooh! The loss of one, the gain of another! It was the unity of two into one. Let the bells chime!

… Okay, admittedly, that was a bit overdramatic and over-the-top. Me thinks me should drink less coffee. Anywho, yeah, I merged the two accounts. It’ll be interesting to see where this merger takes us next.
